Have you ever asked yourself why you were happier as a child? Do you wish you could go back to those times and live a life of spontaneity and innocence?
Well… what if I told you it is possible?
What was different when you were a child
Children are innocent, spontaneous, and act ingeniously 24/7. Now, I’m not telling you to do that, because adultery is better in some aspects, and worse in others.
However, one lesson I've learned is always to preserve some of the ingenuity we had as children, as we tend to lose it as we get older and this makes us more distrustful of other people, which can be a bad thing.
The key to being happy like a child
Besides all of the tips already mentioned, one stands out. There is one that is the key to finding genuine happiness.
That is to live in the present moment day in and day out.
Do you remember your days as a kid? Were you worrying about the future or ruminating about the past in those days? Or where you just playing in the park with your friends and living in the very present moment?
The skill of living in the present moment, like any other skill, can be mastered. The formula to do that is through mindfulness.
